BRT Research Partnerships for Districts

Behavioral Research and Teaching (BRT) works with a limited number of identified Research Partner Districts each year. These partnerships enable BRT researchers to study, develop, and enhance K-12 assessments and the easyCBM learning management system. In exchange for participating in planned research studies, Research Partner Districts receive vouchers to offset the costs of using the easyCBM assessment system in the subsequent school year.

Districts interested in being identified as a Research Partner should contact Steffani Mast (steffani@uoregon.edu) / (541) 346-3535 and indicate their interest in one of the four open research studies:

  1. Study 5: easyCBM Common Core Math Scaling - Open (Actively Recruiting Participants)
  2. Study 7: easyCBM CCSS Math Item Piloting - Open (Actively Recruiting Participants)

At the end of the school year, BRT researchers will compare the actual participation to the planned participation to determine the level of voucher each Research Partner District shall receive. In addition to the waivers available for district Research Partners, gift cards may be offered to individual teachers to purchase classroom supplies, depending upon the requirements of the study.

Please note: this does not guarantee participation in a particular research study, as sometimes it is necessary to distribute participation widely to achieve the goals of a particular research design.

To indicate your interest in having your district designated a Research Partner for 2012 – 2013, please contact Steffani Mast (steffani@uoregon.edu) / (541) 346-3535 and indicate which of the four studies you would like to participate in.
